TL DR: Some people are going with the ASUS because of SDR brightness being higher (450 vs 200), less (or none) aggressive screen dimming and no 4k input firmware bug. The resolution bug can be fixed via CRU but you have to remember to do it every time you update your drivers or you will end up launching a game, getting the dialog on screen telling you "your resolution is set to 4k, please set it to 1440p" and then having to do the whole CRU fix.
